Kandahar During Seventeenth Century: A Study In The Strategic And Commercial Importance
This paper examines the strategic and commercial significance of Kandahar as a pivotal halting place for trade between the Mughal Empire in India and the Safavid Empire in Persia during the seventeenth century. It explores the overland trade routes and argues that Kandahar was a major commercial hub rather than a secondary route.
